Student Dress Code

In collaboration with placement providers and students, we have developed dress codes for students to follow while attending clinical placements.
These focus on fairness, equality and inclusion, with provisions for students to wear head coverings and disposable sleeves if students are unable to be bare below the elbow for religious reasons.
The policy for MBChB and Physician Associate students makes it clear that students should not travel to and from placement wearing scrubs. The policy also clearly states dress code around nail varnish, appropriate footwear and ensuring hair is tied up and off the collar.
