Personal Tutors

Key to our student support provision is our personal tutor programme: as a student at the School of Medicine students are assigned a personal tutor who will work with them to help identify and address any problems, ensuring that they are able to make the most of their learning opportunities at Leeds.
Personal tutors are usually healthcare professionals or academic staff assigned to support students during their time with us as an undergraduate medical student. The role of a personal tutor is to provide them with academic and/or pastoral support should they require it, or alternatively to refer them to a person or service better placed to support them. The advice offered by personal tutors may be specifically about their course of study or could relate to their future career or personal life.
